This series of five individual webinars is suitable for teachers, parents/guardians and anyone who wishes to develop and upskill on knowledge and practice in relation to the STEM education of young people aged six–18 years. Dream Space provides free, immersive, research-based STEM experiences for students and teachers to enhance their STEM skills alongside crucial social-emotional skills such as empathy, creativity, ethical decision-making and collaboration. Regardless of the platform or device that you use, Dream Space works to support teachers to be ready for the upcoming curriculum changes and digital strategies that will reflect society’s greater focus and reliance on STEM. Join us for this series of webinars to learn all about the free resources and content that Dream Space offers to assist you and your students on their STEM journeys. 

In this webinar, participants will;

• Develop an understanding of the MakeCode platform and how it can be used to introduce computer science into your classroom,
• Complete a hands-on tutorial of the various MakeCode platforms such as MakeCode for micro:bit and MakeCode Arcade, and
• Design a plan for how MakeCode can be integrated into a wide range of subjects and topic areas.
