About Us

Kilkenny Education Centre has a long pre-history as a voluntary body under the name of Kilkenny Teachers' Centre. In September 1997, we were transformed into a full-time Education Centre by the Department of Education and Science and our name changed.

The Centre is a member of Education Support Centres Ireland (ESCI). ESCI is the umbrella organisation of 21 full-time and nine part-time Education Support Centres in Ireland. It represents the interest of the Network as a whole, including both part-time and full-time Directors, staff and Management Committees of all Education Support Centres.

Vision and Mission

We, the Management Committee and Staff of Kilkenny Education Centre, envisage an open and innovative Centre, which inspires and supports teaching and learning in the education community.

Kilkenny Education Centre seeks to realise its vision by facilitating the sharing of ideas and the communication of knowledge with the learning community through the ongoing provision and development of services and resources.

Management Committee

The Management Committee is elected each year at our Annual General Meeting.

Staff

John O' Sullivan is the Director of Kilkenny Education Centre. The Centre has administrative and ancillary staff who facilitate the day-to-day operation of the Centre.
