ESCI and Microsoft Ireland Dream Space Webinar Series Webinar #4 - Exploring Minecraft Education in Your Classroom With Dream Space (Primary/Post Primary)
This series of five individual webinars is suitable for teachers, parents/guardians and anyone who wishes to develop and upskill on knowledge and practice in relation to the STEM education of young people aged six–18 years. Dream Space provides free, immersive, research-based STEM experiences for students and teachers to enhance their STEM skills alongside crucial social-emotional skills such as empathy, creativity, ethical decision-making and collaboration. Regardless of the platform or device that you use, Dream Space works to support teachers to be ready for the upcoming curriculum changes and digital strategies that will reflect society’s greater focus and reliance on STEM. Join us for this series of webinars to learn all about the free resources and content that Dream Space offers to assist you and your students on their STEM journeys.
In this webinar, participants will;
- Identify the importance of game-based learning in the modern classroom and how this approach can fundamentally change a student’s engagement in the classroom,
- Examine the Minecraft Education application and it’s feature that allows it to be an excellent learning tool in any setting or curriculum area, and
- Develop a better understanding on how Minecraft works and how this educational version moves beyond being just a “videogame”
