Bímis Cruthaitheach: Explore Creative Resources & Technologies for Múineadh na Gaeilge (Workshop 3)

This course explores a range of resources, including classroom activities and digital tools, for Múineadh na Gaeilge. It will also look at the use of technology, focussing on working with sound, to help teachers create fun and interactive lessons that will encourage student engagement and develop their Irish. 

While this course will equip teachers with creative methodologies and digital tools to plan for and implement the appropriate learning outcomes from the Primary Language Curriculum, the course content will relate to, but not limited to, the three overviews below. Creating an environment to encourage:

- Engagement, listening and attention

- Requests, questions and interactions

- Playful and creative use of language

Robbie Irwin is an Assistant Lecturer in Education, specialising in Múineadh na Gaeilge and Creative Technologies in Marino Institute of Education. He spent a number of years teaching in Gaelscoileanna and worked as Primary Education Officer with COGG, An Chomhairle um Oideachas Gaeltachta agus Gaelscolaíochta, before taking up his role in Marino. Robbie completed a masters in e-Learning Design and Development where he focussed on creative methodologies for Múineadh na Gaeilge and the use of technology for language learning.
