Kilkenny Education Centre’s Primary and Post Primary Autumn Courses Programme 2022 is live on our website. We are delighted to see the return of some face-to-face delivery this Term! Booking for all upcoming face-to-face and webinar CPD is essential and online only so be sure to book your place/s early to avoid disappointment!

The Professional Learning Opportunities we offer cater for Primary and Post Primary Principals, Management, Teachers, Special Needs Assistants (SNAs), School Secretaries and Parents/Guardians.
Nature made easy! Kilkenny Education Centre is delighted to collaborate with the Irish Schools Sustainability Network, Athlone Education Support Centre, Drumcondra Education Centre, Limerick Education Centre and Waterford Teachers' Centre to bring teachers weekly Bitesized Biodiversity online meetings. Learn about one new living thing each week. Join a collective group of teachers, for 15 minutes online every Monday from Monday 5th September 2022 to Monday 15th May 2023, who are bringing nature into their classrooms. Suitable for Primary and Post Primary teachers alike!
The Centre is delighted to partner with our fellow Education Centres in the South Region (Cork Education Support Centre, Waterford Teachers' Centre, West Cork Education Centre and Wexford Education Support Centre) and University College Cork (UCC) to deliver a range of Assistive Technology CPD this Term.
In collaboration with Cork Education Support Centre, Limerick Education Centre, Waterford Teachers' Centre, West Cork Education Centre and Wexford Education Support Centre, the Centre will deliver the five-part Making Maths Fun For Children Webinar Series, suitable for Primary schools. This series, commencing on Thursday 10th November 2022 at 4p.m., will outline ways in which Maths education can be made accessible, relatable and enjoyable for children.
ESCI and the Teaching Council will co-host a series of three workshops for Post Primary schools interested in harnessing the power of professional learning to support their needs. These workshops will take place face-to-face in the Centre on Tuesday 18th October 2022, Tuesday 10th January 2023 and Tuesday 21st March 2023, from 6p.m. each evening. Workshops will be facilitated by practising teachers and will provide opportunities for Post Primary schools to learn from each other through reflective conversations that are underpinned by Cosán, the National Framework for Teachers’ Learning.
