Join Employers for Change and Adam Harris, CEO AsIAm, to improve your understanding of disability and build your awareness. Adam Harris set up AsIAm based on his own experiences growing up as a young autistic person in Ireland. A Social Entrepreneurs Ireland Awardee, Adam is a frequent contributor to media and conferences in Ireland and overseas. He has also sat and advised on many government consultative and policy committees on disability rights and inclusion. Adam was appointed to the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission in July 2020. Registration via Eventbrite.
LGBTQI+ Inclusion in the Workplace - Monday 17th May 2021 at 10.45a.m.
Join the Open Doors Initiative on 17th May to mark International Day against Homophobia and Transphobia with David Gough. David Gough is a Gaelic Football referee from County Meath. He comes from the Slane club and is the Education and Games Development Officer on St. Patrick's Campus Drumcondra, DCU. David is the sport's first openly gay top-level match official. In 2015, the sport's governing body refused to allow him wear a rainbow wristband during a league match between Dublin and Tyrone, but, just four years later in 2019, following his appearance on The Late Late Show, he initiated the GAA's first ever involvement in the Pride Parade. Join the Open Doors Initiative this International Day against Homophobia and Transphobia to hear David's insights into LGBTQI+ inclusion in the workplace and the important role employers play in creating a culture of diversity and inclusion. Join Employers for Change for this Disability Awareness seminar on Inclusive Recruitment, facilitated by Stephen Kelly, Managing Director of Ability Focus. Stephen Kelly is the Managing Director of Ability Focus and an experienced Disability Inclusion Specialist, drawing on over fifteen years' experience in the recruitment, training and supported employment sectors.
