National Call-Out for Guest Poets for Rhymerag.net – Online Poetry Journal for Young People

Join the Rhyme Rag community and have your creative voice heard!
Hi all!
I’m Kathy D’Arcy, poet, activist and editor of the excellent online youth poetry journal Rhyme Rag. Check us out at www.rhymerag.net, @RhymeRag on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
Until now, Rhyme Rag has only accepted submissions from young poets (aged between 12-21) in Kilkenny – but for the rest of this year we’re looking for guest poets from ALL OVER IRELAND to send us work!
Every selected poem will be published on www.rhymerag.net and social media, along with its own custom illustration drawn by our excellent resident artist Alé Mercado. This is a great chance to have your work published to a wide online audience alongside other talented young poets from all over the country.
Rhyme Rag is a long-running, successful creative writing and spoken word Kilkenny Arts Office programme. Its goal is to establish a new platform for young people’s voices and creative expression. With this national call-out we hope to broaden the range of youth poetry and spoken word on the website, and to encourage many more young poets to get their work out there and to continue to push the boundaries of creativity.
Click here to find out how to submit your work (keep a copy for yourself!) and I’ll get back to you with some constructive feedback and to let you know whether your piece has been selected for publication and illustration. Every month two original pieces will be published on the site.
You can find useful advice and prompts on the website and on our Insta. So get writing and submitting!
