SunSmart School Webinar for Primary School Teachers

This interactive online webinar offers primary school teachers an engaging introduction to the SunSmart School Accreditation Programme. Designed as a practical and informative professional learning session, it guides teachers through the full accreditation process, the SunSmart 5 S’s, and the wide range of resources and materials available to support sun safety education. Participants will also explore real world case studies that demonstrate how SunSmart principles can be embedded across classrooms, playgrounds, and whole school environments. The webinar aims to deepen teachers’ understanding of SunSmart Accreditation, familiarise them with educational supports available locally through the SHPIO CP, and showcase practical examples of sun safety in action. Teachers will be encouraged to take a leadership role in promoting a SunSmart culture within their school community and will leave with clear, actionable steps toward becoming a SunSmart accredited school.
