ESCI Climate Action Bitesized Biodiversity Online Weekly Meetings

Nature made easy! Learn about one new living thing each week. Join a collective group of teachers, for 15 minutes online every Monday, who are bringing nature into their classrooms. Suitable for Primary and Post Primary teachers alike!

Let’s reconnect with nature by learning more about the wildlife around us and then bring it back to our classroom/s. Many students and adults find it difficult to identify common wildflowers, trees, birds and mammals. We want to address this. At the end of the year, we want you and your students to be able to identify at least 30 living things and know a little more about them. When you learn a new word, you start to see it everywhere. We're hoping that by learning the names of these living things, students will see them and have a little more appreciation for them. We'll provide you with a set of resources on one living thing each week. Perhaps a plant, a mammal, an insect, or a bird. You'll be invited to teach your class/es about that living thing once a week. At the end of each Term we will hold a fun quiz.
