Collaborative Literacy Practice from Junior Infants to Sixth Class

This Summer Course aims to facilitate collaborative literacy learning in all classrooms from Junior Infants to Sixth Class. The course will outline best practice for Literacy interventions in Junior Infants, how to incorporate a Lift Off to Literacy Model in Senior Infants and First Class, and demonstrate how this model can be developed for Small Group Literacy Instruction in the Senior classes. Teachers will be advised on how to assess prior to interventions and how to plan effectively incorporating the Primary Language Curriculum.
