Biodiversity in Schools has designed this unique Summer Course to help Primary school teachers connect their students to the nature and biodiversity of Kilkenny, and to encourage students to become Wildlife Detectives. The course will use the innovative Kilkenny Wildlife Detective teaching resource, which has been specifically designed around the plants, animals and habitats which teachers and students can easily find.
The course will be delivered by Mark Nolan, Biodiversity in Schools, who will show participants how to carry out exciting wildlife projects in their school to help nature, and how to encourage their students to become citizen scientists, in addition to boosting their students wellbeing by bringing their teaching outdoors and connecting them to nature. This is an engaging, hands-on course with indoor and outdoor elements, including fieldtrips.
