FÍS: Film-Making to Promote Literacy
This course will introduce teachers to the skills involved in the process of film-making and how it can support and develop literacy skills. Each module is structured to encourage a hands-on approach to learning. Each module will begin with an exemplar before teachers work on a range of directed tasks and activities through the use of a variety of film-making techniques (hand-held camera devices, software etc.) as tools to develop students' literacy skills. Over the duration of the course, teachers will explore how the process of film-making can be used to develop relevant resources to enhance teaching and learning in literacy across the curriculum.
