Practical Strategies to Help Primary School Children Learn and Develop Regulation Skills
This workshop will present and discuss a wide range of physical and cognitive strategies that help school aged children to regulate their actions, which in turn leads to increased control, attention and focus, and problem-solving abilities. This workshop will explore calming techniques, cognitive strategies and sensory supports that can be used with children who present with challenges regulating their physical, social and emotional control in school. It will provide teachers with a toolbox of strategies that can be used in the mainstream classroom and during resource teaching.
Please Note: As this is a local course, we cannot offer Substitution or Travel. It is essential that the prior approval of the Principal is sought to attend, before booking your place. Lunch is included.
This workshop is suitable for Classroom teachers, Special Education Teachers and SNAs working with school age children with developmental health conditions who experience difficulties regulating themselves physically, socially and emotionally.
